I'm currently airbrushing 1 Land Raider and 3 "Rhinobacks" with many options for a club mate and I thought I'd use the chance to take a pic of my still tidy hobby table.
If you want you can post links of photos of your working spaces. I'm really interested in how you arranged it and if you have anything to inspire you around it.

Blood Letters - Step by Step V
Step XI:
The claws and teeth were first painted with Citadel's Dheneb Stone, then washed with Devlan Mud and highlightes with VGC's Off White. The eyes were carefully painted white.
After glueing some static grass onto the bases with PVA glue and painting the bases' eged black, the squad is FINISHED!

The banner was highlighted with a mix of Chaos Black and Adeptus Battlegrey, adding more and more of the latter. The upper sides of the tongues were painted with Adeptus Battlegrey and then washed with Badab Black.

Keep your hobby area tidy!
I hadn't cleaned up my hobby table since I moved in to my new student's flat. As that was 10 month ago, my hobby table looked quite messy. In a sudden bout of cleaning I haven't only done the hoovering and mopped the whole flat, I also went about my hobby corner.
Unfortunately, I forgot to take a pic of its messy state, but here is a pic of what it looks like right now:
Ready to be trashed again, eh?
Oh, and that's what a spilled out bits box looks like...

Blood Letters - Step by Step I
As Major Tom asked me to take pics of the several steps of painting the Blood Letters (especially how I airbrush them), I decided to make a little tutorial about it.
Step I:
After assembling the minis and checking again for mold lines I used Vallejo Model Air (VMA) White and applied two layers via airbrush. But let the minis dry some time after the first layer before you apply the second one!

Commission work continues - Blood Letters
With the Iron Warriors done (I varnished the vehicles today, so they're finally ready to be deployed on the battlefields of the grim dark 31st millennium) I can continue working on the commissioned Daemons of Chaos.
Today, I primed 20 Blood Letters of Khorne with white. Tomorrow they get different layers of red via airbrush. Let's see how far I can get ahead.
And some more good news - we have some new furry entrant to my mother's house. =)

A look into my display cabinets - Renegades and Iron Warriors
As I had my camera at hand, I decided to take two photos: one of my Renegades and one of my Iron Warriors, both standing in their display cabinets.
The one for the IW is quite small and maybe I'll buy another one (this one was a "gift" from my dad when he mucked out his bureau) which will be slightly larger. And I must put it on the other side of my wardrobe for more daylight. But I'm quite limited in space as I live in halls.

Iron Warriors Terminators done => Army finished
Finally they're finished - the Terminators!
I must confess that painting them was not as much fun as I thought in the beginning. I think my joy over the infantry left me with painting all the vehicles.
But nevertheless, the squad is finished and with them all the models for the 1.850 points army list. And all that in just 178 days. Insane!
About half a year and I have a new army worth 2000-odd points ready to be played.
But don't worry, some more models are yet to follow. Now I need to play some matches with the Iron Warriors in order to be at the ready for the 4th Rhein Main Meisterschaft.

Iron Warriors - Terminators WIP II
I displaced the spike from the Cyclone to the tip of the Sergeant's axe. Now it looks more like a halberd. That adds a more gothic/medieval touch to it.
Furthermore, I turned the axe hand a little bit so the Sergeant has a more dynamic pose.
I think I'll prime the bunch of them today and start with the painting. They need to be finished for our monthly club meeting next week's thursday where I'll test my army list extensively for the tournament in September.

Iron Warriors - Terminators WIP I
I was on a bicycle trip this afternoon and I passed the post office. As I saw that there was no queue I dropped in and fetched my parcel with the box of Chaos Terminators.
With that I could build the last three ones for my 5 men squad:
I think I'll change the bolter arm of the Sergeant (the one on the left) to an outstretched one. And I'll turn the horns of his helmet skywards.

As the army's finished apart from the Terminators, I took a photo of the whole force painted so far.

Metal Invasion - 5 Years of Total Destruction
I nearly got a heart attack when I read the Metal Invasion newsletter a couple of minutes ago...
But first some facts about the Metal Invasion Festival.
It's a small festival that first took place 5 years ago in Passau, Lower Bavaria. With every following year, visitor numbers were rising constantly. This year, the festival celebrates its fifth jubilee and the organisers felt impelled to displace it from Passau and Ruhstorf respectively to Straubing, where a larger areal is available. That step had to be taken as the festival was nearly sold out 90 days before it is to take place.
Now, the organisers can offer more tickets and enable the festival's 'veterans' to attend it, too. To understand why the tickets are such in demand you just have to take a look at this year's billing:
Bolt Thrower, Amon Amarth, Sodom, Dark Funeral and many more... A must-see for every trve Metalhead. See you there!
Tickets can be ordered here: http://www.metal-invasion-festival.de/eng/index.php

Iron Warriors Vindicators finished
Wow, I've never before painted three vehicles on one day! But I'm quite happy about having the Vindicators finished as the achievement of the 1,850 pts. moves closer steadily.

Iron Warriors Rhinos finished!
You won't believe how boring German TV can be in the evening. And when you've been reading English newspaper articles and half a novel all day long you need something else to relax. So I found myself sitting at my hobby table again yesterday evening, starting off with the two Rhinos.
As the painting was such fun with all the pigments, use of the airbrush and different techniques etc. I finished them at one go!

They are yet to be varnished. Once varnished, the pigments will slightly loose their brightness and intensity.

Iron Warriors Vehicles / Black Templars Land Speeders
As an aquaintance of mine from Dusseldorf sent me some VMA metallic colours, I was able to finally airbrush my IW vehicle fleet.

First Terminator finished
I was able to finish my first IW Terminator yesterday evening. As I had to wait for the sun to rise in order to take good photos, I present him to you today:
This weekend I'll be visiting my parents. Maybe I get the time to work a little bit on the display base for my army. I'm as always looking forward to reading some comments.

Vindicators WIP / First Terminator built
Fortunately, a friend of mine came to visit and paint with me and he brought his brand new box of Chaos Terminators with him. So I borrowed some bitz from him so I could build my first Terminator. Have a look at him:
I added soles of plastic card to his feet and a ball of green stuff to his waist in order to make him larger.
And I painted the chevrons of the dozer blades of my Vindiactors in an assortative pattern:

It's really WIP as a lot of dirt, battle damage and highlights are yet to be applied.
Chaos Sorcerer
As some people criticized the lack of sources for the OSL on the back pack of the sorcerer, I quickly added four tiny beads of Green Stuff to the eye sockets and painted them white. I must confess it looks better now.
And some inspiring music to listen to while paining: Bolt Thrower - Through The Eye Of Terror

Chaos Sorcerer finished / Techmarine redone
I just finished Magus Tenebrae. Have a look:
And I redid Procudo's shoulder pad trims. Now they're golden, which should make him fit better in the rest of the infantry.

Finally, Techmarine Procudo is finished and ready to lead his retinue to battle and to repair the Grand Company's vehicles. Please notice the tiny IW freehand on the knee plate!

Some WIPs
As I'm still waiting for my silver Model Air colour, I wasn't able to work on my tanks so far. But today I primed Techmarine Procudo and his Servitor retinue as well as a new character for 4th Grand Company: Magus Tenebrae
"Magus Tenebrae belongs to Fabrilis' most closely circle of advisors. He aids his Warsmith with his magnicficent sense for battlefield tactics and warfare."
