The 7 ruins for the tournament are finished save some propaganda posters and more plants. I'm really productive at the moment after my low in those last hot summer weeks.
Until sunday evening I want to have the 5 Vanguard Veterans ready for the tournament on monday and I'm currently up to something else for the Iron Warriors. Stay tuned and excited!
Hello and welcome to my blog "Brush And Miniature Torture"!
What will you find in here? Of course everything about my armies, conversions, paint jobs, terrain, and latest commission works for Warhammer 40k and Warhammer Fantasy - and more! Enjoy and comment in English or German! I'm also happy about every follower.

Vanguard Veterans WIP
As I've only painted minis worth 1,850 pts. so far I had to think about the choice of unit(s) for the next step to 2,000 pts. And with the 3rd Sturmfront on October 3rd drawing nearer and nearer, I decided to take a squad of 5 Vanguard Veterans.
As there are only a few models to paint due to their costs and their expensive equipment, they make up a perfect choice for me because I've not that much time right now for painting IW unfortunately (there are other more important projects at the moment, e.g. tournament terrain, a display base, Chaos Daemons etc.).
I even built a melta bomb myself because I have no SM bitz box here at my parents' house.
Now I must hope to receive the jump packs until saturday and paint the 5 minis and I'm ready for the 2,000 pts. battles on Monday.

The next bunch of ruins
Yesterday evening I finished building and glueing another bunch of terrain for our tournament: some ruins
I deliberately built them rambling for more opportunities to hide from line of sight etc.

Bunkers
For our next 2 days tournament (3rd Battleground Ratisbona) in the middle of January 2012, I build some new pieces of terrain, e.g. 3 large bunkers:

Warhammer 40.000 KTNMS [2011]
Klatschi, VanSan and I arrived back home from the Warhammer 40.000 Carinthian Championship [2011] at 10pm.
It was an awesome weekend and I'll write a short summary the following days. But here's a pic for you:

An update, an update!
Finally... finally a new update! It has been quite a while since I've showed you some new stuff. But yesterday I had a really nice painting session with Klatschi, a friend of mine from Passau.
I painted 3 Warriors I'll be needing for a tournament this weekend in Austria (click) and he had some good progress with his Genestealer horde.
Here's a photo of my creation of yesterday:
They'll need some revision once I'm back in Regensburg, but they're fine enough to be played on the tournament.
Furthermore, the fervour for Fantasy returned and I think I'll be doing some more Warriors of Chaos again later this year. I already bought a nice new cadre.
